First Generation  

William married Katherine Lawrence in 1686 in Perranzabuloe.

Their children were:

Edward Kessell was christened in 1699.

   Elizabeth Kessell was christened in 1706 and died in 1715.

  .Katherine Kessell was christened in 1694. She married John Bice  

   Peter Kessell was born in 1691 and died in 1746. He married Phillipa Eplett who died in 1746.

   Lawrence Kessell was christened in 1687 and died in 1728. He married Jenifer Osbourne 

  Second Generation  

Edward married Mary Buddell at Perranzabuloe in 1731

Their children were:

Elizabeth Kessell was born in 1745 in Crantock and died in 1814.

   Edward Kessell was born in 1738 in Crantock and died in 1786.

   Phillipa Kessell was born in 1735 in Crantock and died in 1765.

   Edward Kessell was born in 1733 in Crantock and died in 1738.

   Mary Kessell was christened in 1731 in Crantock. She married John Trenerry 

  Third Generation  

Elizabeth never married 

Her son was:

Edward Kessell was born in 1768, was christened in 1773 in Crantock and died in 1847 in Indian Queens.

  Fourth Generation  

Edward married Ann Rounsefell of St Columb Major in 1792 (Ann Rounsefell died in 1856 in Quoit.)

Their children were:

John Kessell was born in 1808 and farmed at Quoit.

    William Kessell was born in 1793 in Ruthers - He was a Tin Streamer. He married Nancy Tippett in 1818

   Edward Kessell was born in 1795 and Farmed at Nine Maidens and died in 1855. He married Elizabeth Trebilcock in 1819

  Fifth Generation  

John married Tabitha Strongman (1809-1837) in 1831. 

Their children were:

John Edwin (twin) Kessell was born in 1833.He farmed at Goss Moor and died in 1908.

William Henry (twin) Kessell was born in 1833 and died in 1912. He was a waggoner.

Martin Strongman Kessell was born in 1835 in Indian Queens and died in 1896 in Eastbourne. He was a game-keeper at Trelissick. Martin married Mary Bray of Indian Queens (Mary Bray was born in 1833 and died in 1916 in Eastbourne.)

John Kessell, whose wife Tabitha died in 1837, married again in 1842 to Betsy Stephens of Indian Queens.  

  Sixth Generation  

John Edwin (twin) Kessell was born in 1833 and farmed at Goss Moor and died in 1908.

John married Elizabeth Bullock , daughter of John Bullock, a clayworks captain of Ruthers.  (Elizabeth Bullock was born in Ruthers and died in 1885.) One of Elizabeth's brothers was Richard Bullock (1848-1921) who emigrated to America in the 1870's and eventually became a bullion guard for the Homestake Mine in the Black Hills of South Dakota. He was one of several men who became known as 'Deadwood Dick'.

Thomas Kessell  was born in 1861 and died in 1932.

  Albert Kessell was born in 1859. He married Clara White in 1881. 

  Fanny Kessell was born in 1864. She married Dan Bunt of Enniscaven 

  John (Jack) Kessell was born in 1866. He married Elizabeth Richards  (Emigrated to America) 

  Edward John Kessell was born in 1868. He  married Minnie Cannings  

  Richard Kessell was born in 1873. Richard married Eva Rundle 

  Marshall Kessell was born in 1876 (died 1942). He married Charlotte Chapman

  William Henry Kessell was born in 1878 (died 1950). He married Augusta Key

  Janie Kessell was born in 1882 and died in 1884.

William married Mary Ann Cock of Tregoss, Roche

Bessie Kessell born 1862. Edith Kessell born 1864. Tabitha Kessell born 1866. Kate Kessell born 1868. Annie Kessell born 1872.   Mary Kessell born 1875.  . Alfred Kessell born 1877.     William Kessell born 1879.      Clara Kessell born1885.    Janie Kessell born 1882.

  Seventh Generation  

Thomas Kessell was born in 1861 and died in 1932. 

Thomas married Eliza Grigg  of Ruthers in 1883

Their children were:

Manfred Kessell was born in 1885 and died in 1959.

  Mosyna Kessell was born in 1883 and died in 1955 in St Columb Cornwall. She married James Soloman and lived in St Columb 

  Letty May Kessell was born in 1893 and died in 1969 in St Dennis. She married Russell Key 

  John Thomas Kessell was born in 1900 and died in 1971 in St Dennis. He was known as Tommy, and was a well-known motorcycle racer - road racing and grass track. He was a garage proprietor at St Dennis, Cornwall. He loved country sports - fishing and shooting.
Tommy married Clarice Key  (Clarice Key was born in 1902 and died in 1989 in St Dennis.) They had two sons, Adrian and Trevor, both well-known grass track riders.

   Bridget Kessell was born in 1893 and died in 1895.

  Eighth Generation  

Manfred Kessell was born in 1885 and died in 1959.

Manfred married Nellie Truscott   (Nellie Truscott was born in 1889 and died in 1935.) He fought in the first World War. He was a cooper at Retew. He built some houses in Indian Queens and farmed at Mons Tenement, Goss Moor. He used to show poultry both at local shows and in London.

Their children were:

Ivan Kessell  was born on 19th March 1916 in Indian Queens. He died on 26th May 1986 in Newquay Cornwall and was buried at Indian Queens.

Ina May Kessell was born on 7th Jan 1912 in Indian Queens and died on 5th June 1978 in Newquay. She married (William) Vivian Smale   (18/8/1896 - 14/10/1980) 

Pansy Kessell was born in 1914 in Indian Queens and died in 1987 in Indian Queens. She married Keith Trethewey  

  Meta Rosyna Kessell was born in 1921 in Indian Queens and died in 1967 at Goss Moor. She married Francis Hawke 

  Ninth Generation  

Ivan Kessell  was born on 19th Mar 1916 in Indian Queens He died on 26th May 1986 in Newquay Cornwall and was buried at Indian Queens.

Ivan married Beatrice . (She was born in 1920 in Somerset.) Ivan was a  grass track and speedway rider from 1934 to 1949. He established a family garage business. He was a local methodist preacher and started two local male voice choirs.

Their children were:

Rodney Kessell was born in 1942. He married Jenny Rowland  of St Newlyn East. They have a daughter Caroline                       

Jennifer Ann Kessell was born in 1944. Jennifer married Peter Clark. They divorced. They have a daughter, Lorraine Rachel (Rainy)

(Ivan) Jon Kessell was born on 5th Dec 1946 at Goss Moor, and died tragically on 16th Dec 1998 at Rose Cottage Trebudannon Newquay and was buried on 3rd Jan 1999 in Indian Queens. Jon married Elizabeth   (Elizabeth was born in 1947.) They had one son (Mark)   and one daughter (Sarah)

Roger Vian Kessell was born in 1948 in Ruthers, near St Columb Cornwall. He married Janette Andre Riley on 20th Dec 1969 in Nottingham (Janette Andre Riley was born in 1948 in Nottingham.). They divorced in 1997. They have two daughters, Jane (1976) and Natalie (1978).

Roger married Philippa Battrick (Dolley) on 2nd Sept 1997.

Sharon Rose Kessell was born in 1961 in Summercourt. She married Peter Keevill in Bath. They have a son Daniel   and a daughter Kerensa.

  Tenth Generation  

(Ivan) Jon Kessell was born on 5th Dec 1946 at Goss Moor. He worked in the family garage business and enjoyed sailing, shooting and motor sports. He died tragically (aged 52) on 16th Dec 1998 at Rose Cottage Trebudannon Newquay and was buried on 3rd Jan 1999 in Indian Queens.

    (Ivan) Jon married Elizabeth   (Elizabeth  was born in 1947.)

    Their children are:

    Mark Kessell was born in 1967 at Redruth. He married Catherine Wilton of St Newlyn East on 16th April 1994. They have a daughter Bethany born  1996 and a son Michael Jon born  2002.

    Sarah Jayne Kessell was born in 1971 at Trebudannon. She married Paul Tabrett (born 1967) at Colan Church on 17th June 1995. They have a daughter, Grace Elizabeth , born in 1998.

  Eleventh Generation  

Mark Kessell was born in 1967 at Redruth.

    Mark married Catherine Wilton of St Newlyn East on  16th April 1994

    Their children are:

    Bethany was born in 1996 at Truro
